2022 de la Howe Wildlife Conclave

About the Conclave

Conclave Event CoverThe Education Center at John de la Howe will host the 1st annual "de la Howe Wildlife Conclave" on January 20-23, 2022. The de la Howe Wildlife Conclave is a valuable professional development opportunity for high school students across the Southeast interested in the field of environmental and natural resources.

Students eligible for this program will be rising 9th graders and above with a keen interest in the outdoors in South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, and Virginia. This multi-day event will take place at various locations.

Participants will visit both Clemson University and the University of Georgia to hear from students and professors. During the week, there will be field trips to various sites that offer future job opportunities where we will have experts in the field speaking with students and discussing management objectives on each site.

Students will also be able to compete in events such as a quiz bowl, game calling, identification contest, etc. where they will compete against teams from across South Carolina and surrounding states. This program will be an annual event for students to build their knowledge in the environmental and natural resources field and we hope it will provide students with the opportunities to make an impression on companies while having fun!

Sponsorship Opportunities

These students are our future, and they will make a positive impact in the field. We want your help to give them the encouragement to make a difference! To make this happen, we will need sponsors to provide prizes for individuals and teams, as well as sponsors for the first, second, and third-place team plaques that will be made. All sponsors will be promoted during the event on banners and signs throughout the event locations.

If you are interested in sponsoring one of the placements or donating prizes/money to help support our program, please email Hunter Morton, Hunter.Morton@delahowe.sc.gov.
