JDLH Announces Finalists in Presidential Search

The John de la Howe Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the selection of three finalists for the presidency of the School for Agriculture. The Board’s selection will replace Interim President, Dr. Sharon Wall.


The following three candidates have been selected as finalists for the presidential search:

Timothy R. Keown currently serves as the Director of the Education Center for John de la Howe – School for Agriculture in McCormick, SC. He previously served as an Agricultural Education teacher at Crescent High School in Iva, SC and as the Associate State Director of Agricultural Education at Clemson University. Mr. Keown is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership; earned a Master’s of Agricultural Education; and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education, all from Clemson University in Clemson, SC.

Timothy L. Murph, Ed.D, is the Founding Principal/CEO at East Voyager Academy of NC Department of Public Instruction in Charlotte, NC. He previously served as the CEO Principal at the South Carolina Science Academy. Dr. Murph earned a Doctorate of Education in Education Administration at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, SC; a Master of Education in Management and Leadership in School from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC; and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC.

Timothy L. Woodward previously served as the Superintendent of Schools for Hancock County Schools in New Cumberland, WV. Before that, he served as the Superintendent for Calhoun County Schools in Mount Zion, WV. Mr. Woodward earned a Master of Education Leadership at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA and Bachelor of Science in Education at Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, VA.
