The Education Center at John de la Howe is a community resource.

The Education Center is a place where the greater community can gather to learn.

The Education Center is located in the Wilderness area of the John de la Howe campus. The purpose of the Education Center is to provide agriculturally focused field trips for K-9 education, summer programs, and continuing education opportunities for adults.

SUMMER CAMPS

Camp Applications 

The Education Center at John de la Howe hosts a series of day camps and overnight camps during the summer months. Registration is open for 2026! Day camps are held from 9:00am-3:00pm. The cost is $40/each which includes lunch. Aggie Adventure Camp is an overnight camp for rising 8th and 9th graders. This camp requires an application which can be found below. FACILITY USE / Rental & Private Events

The Education Center, built in 1988, includes the main building with office spaces, a meeting hall, and an industrial kitchen. Around the main building, there are four classrooms, four primitive camping sites, and access to Lake Thurmond.
