The Education Center is located in the Wilderness area of the John de la Howe campus. The purpose of the Education Center is to provide agriculturally focused field trips for K-9 education, summer programs, and continuing education opportunities for adults.
SUMMER CAMPS
Camp Applications
The Education Center at John de la Howe hosts a series of day camps and overnight camps during the summer months. Registration is open for 2026! Day camps are held from 9:00am-3:00pm. The cost is $40/each which includes lunch. Aggie Adventure Camp is an overnight camp for rising 8th and 9th graders. This camp requires an application which can be found below. IN-PERSON FIELD TRIPS
Enhance students' knowledge and experience in the field of agriculture with virtual or in-person field trips focused on environmental & natural resource management, horticulture, and plant and animal systems.

FACILITY USE / Rental & Private Events
The Education Center, built in 1988, includes the main building with office spaces, a meeting hall, and an industrial kitchen. Around the main building, there are four classrooms, four primitive camping sites, and access to Lake Thurmond.
