The South Carolina Governor’s School for Agriculture at John de la Howe (JDLH) will host a “Howe-lloween Festival” on Sunday, October 25th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The event will be held outside on the John de la Howe campus green, 192 Gettys Road, McCormick, SC 29835. Event attendees should enter through the school’s temporary entrance and check-in with the security team for screening. The screening will include a temperature check and the scanning of licenses/IDs for all adults in the vehicle. Masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19 are required and social distancing will be enforced. The maximum capacity for this event is 250 guests. 

Current JDLH students will decorate the outside of the residence halls and set up tables with pre-packaged treats for guests. Additional activities will include tractor-trailer rides to the John de la Howe tomb, outside games, trunk or treat, and more. 

Singer, songwriter, and musician Cody Webb of Ridge Spring, SC will provide live music at the event. Cody Webb has played hundreds of dates across the country, earning thousands of fans with his keen vocals and distinctive guitar skills. With his single “She’s Carolina,” Cody was able to pull on the heartstrings of his native South Carolinians and draw them in like never before. Cody received over one million views on his Facebook “She’s Carolina” lyric video, as well as 100k+ streams and growing.

The cost of admission is $5 per car. Proceeds of this event will go to the John de la Howe School Foundation. Pre-registration is required for attendees or vendors interested in setting up a booth, trunk, or table at the event. To register, email Cadie.Giba@delahowe.sc.gov for further information.
