Introduction to Team Cattle Sorting

The SC Governor's School for Agriculture is proud to host the Introduction to Team Cattle Sorting. 

Experienced Team Sorter, Chris Locklair will provide an introductory one-day clinic in the sport of Ranch Team Sorting.  The day will consist of instruction in dry work with your horse, how to read the cow, jobs of the sorting pen,  and ending with a two-ride limit, per person practice run, round robin. 

All proceeds go to the SC Governor’s School for Agriculture Equine Program.

Schedule: 

  • 9:00-10:00 Cows/People
  • 10:00-11:00 Dry Work/Flag
  • 12:00-1:00 lunch
  • 1:00-2:00 Individual Practice
  • 2:00-3:00 Round Robin Practice

Participants are limited to twelve riders. You must provide your own horse! 

Lunch is includes and registration is $100.00/person.
