Templeton Named president of the South Carolina Association of Agricultural Educators

Libby H. Templeton of Saluda has been named president of the South Carolina Association of Agricultural Educators for 2022-23, reports John W. Parris, director of the SC Agri-News Service.

A graduate of Clemson University with a BS in Animal Science and a Master’s in Agricultural Education, Libby is currently serving as an Animal Science teacher at the Governor’s School for Agriculture in McCormick County. She also serves as advisor to the FFA and 4-H organizations at the school.

Previously, Libby was the Agri-Science and Technology teacher at Batesburg-Leesville High School for sixteen years where she also served as the FFA advisor.

She is married to Wayne Templeton and they have an eight-year-old daughter, Tori.

“The South Carolina Association of Agricultural Educators is a professional organization that provides continuous educational leadership opportunities for its members and recognition of outstanding Agricultural Education programs in the secondary schools of South Carolina,” Mr. Parris said.
