Students and staff at the South Carolina Governor's School for Agriculture at John de la Howe now have the opportunity to produce content for RFD-TV, a national television network based in Nashville, Tenn.
The first feature of the new partnership with RFD-TV aired on Thursday, August 10. RFD-TV is a national cable and digital television network focusing on agriculture and the rural lifestyle. The network has agreed to accept video submissions produced by our students and staff to air during RFD-TV's 30 hours of news programming each week. The first segment, a feature on last weekend's Welcome Weekend, was broadcast during the network's popular "Market Day Report" around 9:25 a.m. Central Time, 10:25 Eastern.
The story featured our agency director Dr. Timothy Keown, principal Greg Thompson, parent Mike Buck and two of our students, Kaylee O'Neal and Lyle Fulmer. Additional features for RFD-TV are planned in the coming weeks.
