Summer Internship Opportunities Now Open For Applications

The South Carolina Governor's School for Agriculture at John de la Howe is looking for interns for the Summer of 2024.  Interns will have the opportunity to select the department(s) they would like to work with for the summer.  A limited number of internships will be available.

Applications are now open and must be submitted by February 29, 2024.  The application is available HERE.

Minimum Requirements for Internship Applicants are:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be willing to drive a state of South Carolina vehicle (Mini bus, van, or truck)
  • Completion of an Internship Application

Internship Compensation includes:

  • On campus housing
  • On campus meal plan when camps are in session
  • 7-week to 9-week internship (late May - late July)
  • 40-hour work week
  • $12.00 per hour

Internship opportunities exist at:

  • Education Center - summer programs for students ages 6-17, campus field trips, and event programing.
  • LS Brice School - inner workings of a school
  • Maintenance - working with the maintenance department on summer projects, project planning, and project completion.
  • Farm and Equine - work with our campus farm staff. Planting crops, fixing fences, working with livestock, campus landscape.  Work with the Equine Coordinator on projects and summer camps.
