The Education Center is located in the Wilderness area of the John de la Howe campus. The purpose of the Education Center is to provide agriculturally focused field trips for K-9 education, summer programs, and continuing education opportunities for adults.
Outdoor Adventures is a day-long camp that will allow students to learn about environmental and natural resources studies such as wildlife and forestry. They will participate in activities like fishing, wildlife identification, and other outdoor recreation activities.
What do tractors and plants have in common? Draw the connection between horticulture and agricultural mechanization at Pedals and Petals Camp! Students will have the chance to learn about greenhouse management and crop production in this hands-on camp.
Put on your boots and join us for Stable Hands Camp! This is a full day camp of horse themed activities. This camp is ideal for new and experienced riders. Campers will learn or improve skills in horse safety, grooming, anatomy, riding, and more! Note that this camp offers two date options in June for 2024.
Barnyard Fun is a day-long camp featuring all things animal science! Students will have the opportunity to interact with various small and large animals like rabbits, goats, cows, and pigs. They'll learn about the care, anatomy, and showmanship of these animals.
Saddle Up Equine Camp is a 3-day, 2-night camp designed for experienced riders. Participants will bring their own horse to camp and spend the weekend enhancing their riding skills. Riders can expect the weekend to include agility courses, trail rides, grooming and care, anatomy, and more. Appropriate paperwork and records is required. This camp requires an application that can be found here.
Aggie Adventure is a 4-day, 3-night camp for rising 8th and 9th graders. Students participating in this camp will get to experience the four pathways of agriculture that our school offers: Animal Science, Horticulture, Environmental & Natural Resources, and Agricultural Mechanization. Other fun activities in this camp are canoeing, ropes course, tractor driving, beekeeping, aquaponics, and more! This camp requires an application that can be found here.
Enhance students' knowledge and experience in the field of agriculture with virtual or in-person field trips focused on environmental & natural resource management, horticulture, and plant and animal systems.

The Education Center, built in 1988, includes the main building with office spaces, a meeting hall, and an industrial kitchen. Around the main building, there are four classrooms, four primitive camping sites, and access to Lake Thurmond.
