The South Carolina Governor’s School for Agriculture at John de la Howe is a place where students don’t just learn about the world in a classroom; they get out and experience it. Our students get their hands in the dirt as their minds are focused on the future. There is nothing like our school anywhere else in South Carolina -- or anywhere else in the nation.

Ours is an amazing place and unique learning environment. Created on the state’s oldest public school campus, ours is a groundbreaking experience. With a history dating back to 1797, we became a Governor’s School in 2020, taking its place alongside two other Governor’s Schools in the state. From day one, our students will be welcomed into a challenging and vibrant community where they will become the future leaders of agriculture in the Palmetto State.
