The Governor's School is taking precautions in advance of Winter Storm.

In advance of Winter Storm Cora's arrival in South Carolina, the South Carolina Governor's School for Agriculture's administration has enacted safety precautions -- including a scheduled E-learning day on Friday.

Dr. Timothy Keown, our school president and superintendent, issued the following statement today at noon:

Dear Aggie Family,

First, we are excited to have our Aggies back on campus! I hope the holiday break was restful and spent with those you love.

Many SC counties are expected to receive snow and ice this Friday, January 10, 2025. Since we have students from almost every county in South Carolina and most students travel home each Friday, we have decided to have an E-learning Day on Friday. This will allow our students to safely travel home tomorrow.

Tomorrow, Thursday, January 9, 2025, will be a normal school day. Students will need to sign out and depart campus from 3 to 7 p.m. This will be mandatory that students depart.

Residential students should return to campus Sunday, January 12, no earlier than 4 p.m. as we do not have residential life staff until 4 p.m.

Employees will report to work as scheduled. Please be safe and let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
