Our offices will be closed on New Year's Day for the official state holiday, but we're looking forward to another year of growing memories together with our Aggie family! HAPPY NEW YEAR, Aggies!

As the old song says, "Fast away the old year passes...Hail the new year, lads and lasses." There's still time to claim a brand new start in 2025. Apply today! www.delahowe.sc.gov

To allow our staff to spend time with their families, the campus and department offices at the South Carolina Governor's School for Agriculture will observe recognized state holidays Dec. 24-26. We send our most joyful wishes to our entire Aggie family!

We're thrilled to announce the new app for South Carolina Governor's School for Agriculture at John de la Howe. It's everything SCGSA, in your pocket.

In the spirit of the season, our teachers competed to design their best holiday door decorations. Mr. Hunter Morton took top honors, with Mrs. Rhodes and Ms. Childers earning honorable mentions.

As our students depart for a couple of well-deserved weeks with their families and friends, we want to wish the entire Aggie Family a joyful and restful Winter Break!
Cheer up, Dude! It's Christmas!

Prospective students and families are invited to start the new year on a high note by exploring the only school of its kind in America!

A group of students from Clemson University's agricultural education program -- including distinguished Governor's School for Agriculture alumni -- recently visited our campus with professor Dr. Dale Layfield. It was a wonderful overview for these potential future ag teachers.

The JDLH School Foundation showed its appreciation for students who volunteered to take care of the school’s resident rabbits over the holiday break. The students were willing to host animals at their homes and received a $50 gift card from the Foundation! Ms. Stacie Smith, Executive Director of the JDLH School Foundation, presented cards to Lynzie Hodge, who hosted a rabbit name Milo; Katee Lord, who hosted Goose; Cedar Byars, who sheltered Snoopy; and Carson Griggs, who hosted a rabbit named Rodney. (Not pictured are Garland Wilson, who hosted Rosemary Rabbit, and Emilie Cline , who kept Pretzel safe.)

Here's something to discuss at the family get-together this week. We're thankful for those families who are considering becoming part of our growing Aggie family. There's a seat at the table for YOU!

Events such as last week's John de la Howe Foundation Donor Appreciation Luncheon offer an opportunity for our Aggie student leaders -- past and present -- to shine and tell their stories of how our supporters enrich their high school experience. We grow leaders at JDLH!
